When it comes to executive coaching, the most common frequency is every two weeks. This allows enough time for employees to apply and test the ideas discussed in the previous session. As experience is gained and the competition becomes more aware, the cadence of meetings can be adjusted accordingly. Many people assume that they need a coach when they are in quadrants 1 or 2, as these are the areas where incompetence is most likely to be found.
In these cases, it would be beneficial for the employee to have an executive coach or mentor on a weekly basis. However, meeting every two weeks is usually more manageable.
